Remove /roll from HB
Anet is currently planning to change some rules because two GvG teams were involved in ladder manipulation. So while the rules for one form of PvP are being updated how about get rid of /roll from HB which is pretty rampant there.
(Or better yet get rid of HB, but that's another thread...)

/sign!!
Just kidding... kind of.
I don't HB, but I know a lot of folk that do and every time a match loads, it's, "wanna roll?" Now, I don't mind that people want to piss away their chances of winning, or end up winning unfairly. That being said, it alters how other people who want to fight experience Hero Battles. They may end up playing someone a lot less/more experienced than them, and it's unfair for them.
So, /sign for removing rolling.

If you're going to have such a command in a game, it should be universally existent or non-existent. Since it was, I believe, already removed from towns and outposts due to abuse, and it continues to have a negative use now, it should just get ditched.

I will fully admit that HB is a form of PvP I've never played. I've thought about making a foray there from time to time, but never have.
While I understand the concept of roll for win, I'd have to say I'm not entirely comfortable with it. It is supposed to be pvp afterall. If people want to play games of chance perhaps Anet should provide some on a regular basis.
/fencesitting, but more on the side of signed.

I agree. I finally got r3 commander, and have never once rolled for it. Perhaps its my untrusting belief that people won't leave if they lose, I'm not sure. I did get a few easy points from people who asked to roll then left when I said no, or else played so crappy they might as well have left since it was an easy win. Usually those people would heap racist or abusive language on me first, then leave. I don't think anet cares about hb. It's horribly broken, and I was relieved when I got my last point that I wouldn't have to ever do that again.

Keep /roll and make it required for unrated. Make unrated wins give +1 point to the Commander title line.
Make rated match wins give +2 points to the Commander title line. Eliminate /roll on rated matches.
gogogo easy title!

Not signing for removing of /roll, but I'm all for removing of HB.
Or maybe change it radically (remove points from holding/capping shrines), but that will never happen... Easier to just let it die in a fire.

No one rolls anyway, only on HB weekends,
If everyone wants HB gone why would they care if people are rolling?

I've always wondered why there's no dishonor given for leaving a rated match prematurely.
Signed for removing /roll completely from the game.

Oh... how? With a dice and videoconference?
People will use what you give them.
Take the /roll from them, and they won't use. As easy as that.
That's a ROLEPLAYING command, and so, it should stay at ROLEPLAYING areas. That is, the so called PvE.
If they decinde to use /rock/paper/scissors, then remove that too.
The only relevant fact here is that some people are going through battles without actually playing the matches, and that cannot be allowed. Anything else is irrelevant.

So, what, you don't want it to happen, don't do it. No one is forcing you to roll (except maybe me killing you over and over because you refused to). Well, that's the argument for PvE skills, as stupid as it sounds.
HB needs to be made actually playable before you remove /roll . The amount of rolls just shows how virtually no one likes HB and/or finds it enjoyable.

Irrelevant.
Every time I found one of those I kept playing because I don't follow rules aout of the rules made up by those that only care about the title.
Some times the other party will fight normally. But most of the time you get insulted for playing the way you are supposed to.
Just the insults are enough for report. But the fixed matches are worse than that.
No one is forcing players to fix PvP matches, to use bots, to sell gold, to scam, to insult, to use the chat filter... why? Because it would be completely insane to force players to go against the rules.
/roll it's not a skill used for battle. You can't defeat an NPC with a /roll. It's a roleplaying command meant for use in roleplaying between players. And as it is, it should be exclusive to roleplaying areas.
That is, appear in the party chat only in outposts, work like any other emote in explorable areas and guild halls, and NEVER work PvP areas that may give any kind of points, ranks, rewards or benefits of any kind.
What to /roll in an skirmish? Fine, no one is hurt. But not in other places.
We already had it with congas where people should be smacking their heads like if there were no tomorrow. No need to keep that /rolls in arenas of any kind.

Stone,Scissor,Paper is a visual thing can't be seen in chat window.
/singed for removing /roll in PVP
no reason to remove from pve "we have to split but both wanna go right." "ok roll, 1 is right for me 2 is is right for you"

I am so in favor of this idea. It is often quite hard to find someone who actually wants to play and not /roll. I think HB needs a serious fix and that would be a good start.

I'll try to explain it again...
The problem why no one, but select group of people, wants to play HB is because HB format is simply broken. Just watch the observer mode for a sec and find out how dull it is.
But that has been discussed quite a bit... and nothing changed simply cause Izzy only works on GW in his free time. /roll is not the root of the problem, plain and simple.
